Rafael Orozco Piano Festival
Rafael Orozco is a well-acclaimed pianist from Cordoba and his musical has brought him to perform in more than 5 continents. An annual piano festival is held in his honor, an event considered by piano enthusiasts as a must-see event. The Piano Festival is held at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Rafael Orozco, usually on the 2 nd week of November. The annual program changes each year, and it typically features the musical compositions of several renowned composers.
Semanaute
Luis Eduardo Aute is a multi talented artist, and to say this, one might even be accused of underestimating the artistic genius. The man is a gifted painter, a singer, composer, poet, and sculptor. He has also directed a number of films. Truly this man is a slave of art, and Cordoba has not forgotten his major works. The town honors him by having a whole week s celebration dedicated to him, plus a musical festival called Semanaute, usually done in the month of November. During this event, concerts are held in the Gran Teatro de Córdoba. Films that Aute has directed are also shown in select theaters. There are exhibitions of his paintings and artworks as well.
